As we near the end of the regular season, the bowl picture gets clearer. Upsets also have an impact on who makes it to a bowl. For example, we see the Ragin Cajuns enter the projections after their win over New Mexico State.
Again, we’re only publishing projections for the teams we cover, and they are made from scratch each week. Your favorite team’s destination and/or opponent has likely changed.
Note: This week, I projected one extra team to reach eligibility than there were bowls spots. I left Utah State at home despite a 6-6 projected record, but if this scenario plays out, it could just as easily be some other team getting left at home.
