NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference, in conjunction with ESPN, announced that the Saturday, January 10 men’s basketball matchup between Georgia Southern and South Alabama will be broadcast on ESPNU with a 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT tipoff at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Ala.
The contest is the first of four wildcard appearances for the Sun Belt on the ESPN Family of Networks during the 2026 league season. The remaining wildcard appearances will take place on February 7, February 14 and February 28 with matchups to be determined.
The game will mark the only regular season matchup and 31st all-time meeting between Georgia Southern (10-5) and South Alabama (10-4), as the Jaguars lead the all-time series, 18-12.
