NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia senior forward Marcus Caldeira earns Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year to headline the league’s 2025 all-conference teams and individual awards, voted by the leagues head coaches.
Caldeira was named the preseason player of the year for the 2025 season and fulfilled expectations earning the Sun Belt’s top honor as well as the leagues offensive player of the year. Caldeira led the league in points with 25, coming from nine goals and seven assists, while also leading the league in game-winning goals with five on the year. The senior surpassed 30 career goals earlier in the season with a current total of 37, the most of any active player in the Sun Belt.
