NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2021 Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, individual awards and Preseason Poll on Monday.
Arkansas State senior forward Sarah Sodoma was dubbed the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while her teammate senior goalkeeper Megan McClure was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Sodoma was the Sun Belt Player and Offensive Player of the Year in 2020, while McClain was the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year.
Arkansas State and Georgia State paced all conference programs with three Preseason All-Sun Belt selections, while South Alabama also boasted multiple honorees.
