NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State Bobcats, the 2018 Sun Belt Conference women's soccer regular season champions, were picked as the favorite to win the 2019 title as voted upon by the league's 11 head coaches.
The Bobcats compiled an 11-5-4 overall record a season ago with an 8-0-2 conference mark. The regular season crown was the first for Texas State since joining the league. The 11 wins also marked the 12th time the program has reached double-digit victories in a season.
Kat Conner’s Bobcats earned 108 total points and six first-place votes to earn top honors in the preseason coaches’ poll.
