NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2018-19 women's postseason honors Wednesday, headlined by South Alabama sophomore Yu Fujioka named Player of the Year, Coastal Carolina sophomore Somer Dalla-Bona named Player to Watch, Georgia State freshman Eva Chivu named Freshman of the Year, Coastal Carolina graduate student Jennifer Brown named Newcomer of the Year and Appalachian State head coach Blake Mosley named Coach of the Year.
These awards, along with the All-Sun Belt first and second teams, were voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches.
Fujioka earns Sun Belt Player of the Year honors after being named Freshman of the Year a season ago.
