ATLANTA – Top-seeded Texas State completed its title sweep with a 3-0 sweep (27-25, 25-12, 25-18) of second-seeded Appalachian State to capture the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championship.
The regular-season champion earned its second Sun Belt Tournament title (2013, 2018) in its fourth championship match appearance (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018).
Texas State was led by senior middle blocker Madison Daigle with 12 kills, two digs and three blocks. Daigle totaled 27 kills for the tournament, earning recognition as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
