NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern graduate guard Spudd Webb has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after standout performances at both ends of the court while leading the Eagles to a pair of non-conference wins.
Webb becomes the first Georgia Southern men’s basketball player to earn the Sun Belt’s top weekly honor since teammate Tyren Moore on March 4, 2024.
Webb averaged 18.5 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in 32.5 minutes per game while shooting 12-for-16 (.750) from the field and 12-for-14 (.857) at the free throw line in wins over Florida Gulf Coast and Johnson C.
