NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s Doris Carter, Georgia Southern’s Ashlyn Lovett and South Alabama’s Kailey Keeble all recorded strong performances in the opening week of the Sun Belt Conference season and were named Sun Belt Volleyball Players of the Week.

Chanticleers’ outside hitter Doris Carter, a graduate transfer from Alabama, propelled Coastal Carolina to a pair of victories against Little Rock and Arkansas State with 36 kills this past weekend. On Friday, Carter totaled 15 kills and 11 digs for a double-double in a sweep of the Trojans.
