MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers claimed the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf team title after defeating the Georgia Southern Eagles in the championship match, 4-1, on Wednesday at the Raven Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
This was Coastal's first Sun Belt men's golf title since the school joined the league in July of 2016.
With the win, the Chanticleers will receive the Sun Belt's automatic bid to the NCAA men's golf championships. The NCAA men's golf selections will be announced on Wednesday, May 2 on The Golf Channel starting at 5:00 p.
