NEW ORLEANS – Appearing in Bowl Season for the sixth-straight season, Coastal Carolina fell to Louisiana Tech, 23-14, in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La.
The Chanticleers— who were part of the Sun Belt’s 10-team bowl contingent that leads all non-autonomy conferences for the fourth-straight season—dropped to 2-4 in six all-time bowl appearances.
Coastal Carolina led 14-3 at halftime, but was held scoreless after the break, as the Bulldogs scored 20 unanswered points in a comeback win.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Tad Hudson capped lengthy first-half drives with a 20-yard touchdown strike to freshman running back Dominic Knicely and a 15-yard touchdown connection with redshirt sophomore wide receiver Robby Washington.
