NEW ORLEANS – The UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns and South Alabama Jaguars are the 2016 Sun Belt Conference baseball regular season co-champions.
The Ragin' Cajuns (37-19, 21-9 Sun Belt) entered the season's final weekend two games out of first-place in the league standings behind the Jaguars (38-18, 21-9 SBC). The Cajuns swept the UL Monroe Warhawks to finish in a tie for the top spot as the Jaguars dropped their final two contests to Troy after winning the opener on Thursday night.
The Ragin' Cajuns earned the No. 1 seed based on the head-to-head tie-breaker as they took two-of-three from the Jaguars last weekend.
