West Brom and USMNT striker Daryl Dike to undergo surgery to fix a fully torn right Achilles tendon injury which will have him out 'up to nine months'

West Brom and USMNT striker Daryl Dike will be out for the rest of this EFL Championship season with a torn right Achilles tendon.

The forward went to the ground just before halftime at this weekends match against Stoke City and left the former Britannia Stadium in tears.

According to a press release from the club, Dike will require surgery for a 'full rupture' of his right Achilles and will be out for 'six to nine months'.

Dike has battled injuries throughout his entire tenure at the West Midlands club, but was in the midst of one of his best seasons he's had with the Baggies.
