Stoke City FC news: Boss Mark Hughes will not contest Football Association improper conduct charge

Stoke City have decided not to contest the Football Association charge of improper conduct levelled at manager Mark Hughes.

Hughes was sent to the stands during the first half of Stoke's 4-0 defeat at home to Tottenham on Saturday after showing his displeasure at referee Anthony Taylor for booking winger Marko Arnautovic for diving.

Stoke are unhappy with the decision to charge the 52-year-old and have questioned why fourth official Jon Moss prevented Hughes communicating via mobile phone from the stands after his dismissal.

But they will not be challenging the FA rap and their boss could now be facing a touchline ban.
