Stoke City boss Mark Hughes fined by FA following Tottenham dismissal

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association after accepting a misconduct charge following his dismissal against Tottenham Hotspur.

Hughes was sent to the stands during Stoke's 4-0 loss to Tottenham earlier this month by referee Anthony Taylor after allegedly verbally abusing fourth official Jon Moss following Marko Arnautovic's booking for diving.

The Welshman, who admitted after the match he had stepped out of his technical area and "reacted in a forceful manner," said he would not contest the charge and the FA has now subsequently taken action.
