Reading move eight points clear of the Championship relegation zone after Michael Morrison's early header and Taylor Harwood-Bellis' own goal helped them clinch a 2-1 win over Stoke City

Reading moved eight points clear of the Championship relegation zone as two generous slices of luck helped them see off Stoke City.

First, in the 63rd minute, Lucas Joao’s header from a corner was deflected by Stoke defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis past his own keeper.

Then, with 13 minutes to play, Stoke forward Tyrese Campbell flashed the ball across, only for Jacob Brown to sidefoot over with the goal at his mercy.
