Monaco offer to take Stoke City record signing Giannelli Imbula on loan as midfielder fails to impress

Monaco have offered to take Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula on loan for the season.

After moving to the Bet365 Stadium from Porto for £18.3m in 2016, the Frenchman has struggled in England and he is ready to leave.

Plenty of clubs have already made offers for the 24-year-old, including Galatasaray and Nice, but no one has been successful so far.

However that has not put Monaco off and, according to RMC, they have offered to take Imbula on loan for the new season.

The French champions are also willing to buy the midfielder outright next summer for £13.
