Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has said he was sent to the stands for protesting against a decision by referee Anthony Taylor in his side's 4-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Hughes was sent off in the first half at the bet365 Stadium for stepping out of his technical area to protest what he thought was an initial foul on Jonathan Walters, in a game that also saw Marko Arnautovic booked for diving.
The Welshman, who handed debuts to Wilfried Bony and Bruno Martins Indi, said: "I saw on TV them maybe saying I came out of my technical box, came back in and swore, which I didn't," Hughes said.
