John Eustace set to become the new manager of Blackburn Rovers after agreeing his contract... and will replace Jon Dahl Tomasson following dismal eight-game winless run

John Eustace is set to become the new manager of Blackburn Rovers after agreeing his contract with the Championship side.

As previously reported, the former Birmingham City boss will join on a two-and-a-half-year deal, with current manager Jon Dahl Tomasson and his assistant Remy Reijnierse set to leave Ewood Park.

The Danish manager is believed to have offered to resign from the club following their eight-game winless run.

Blackburn missed out on the play-offs on goal difference alone last season, but are struggling down in 18th this campaign.

Eustace has been out of a job since Birmingham City made the surprising decision to sack him when they were in a play-off position, and replaced by Wayne Rooney in October.
