Harry Souttar scores an OWN GOAL on debut for Leicester City with Socceroos gun handed a first start by Brendan Rodgers following £15million move from Stoke City

Harry Souttar suffered every defender's worst nightmare after putting the ball in his own net on his Premier League debut for new club Leicester City.

Souttar was handed a start by Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers just four days after joining the east Midlands club from Stoke City in a £15million deadline day deal, tasked with shoring up the team's leaky defence.

However, it took just nine minutes for opponents Aston Villa to break the deadlock, with Ollie Watkins finding the back of the net past Danny Ward.

The Foxes levelled just three minutes later through James Maddison, but Souttar was left red-faced just after the half-hour mark when he had the final touch before the ball hit his own net.
