Huddersfield Town have signed former Stoke City right-back Lynden Gooch on a three-year deal.
The USA international was released by the Potters at the and of his contract last month and has become the Terriers' ninth signing of the summer window.
Gooch was born in California but joined the Sunderland academy at 16 and went on to play 246 games for the Black Cats, 11 of them in the Premier League.
He was part of the team which suffered successive relegations in 2017 and 2018 but also played a part in Sunderland's return to the Championship in 2021-22.
