Burnley have made a bid worth up to £3million for unsettled Stoke City forward Jon Walters.
Walters, 33, has grown increasingly frustrated at his lack of playing time after making just 13 Premier League starts last season.
The Republic of Ireland international has 12 months left on his contract at Stoke but is open to a move after seven years in the Potteries.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has made a habit of signing British players and Irish internationals like Walters’ teammates Steven Ward, Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick, and believes the former Ipswich striker fits the physical, hard-working mould of his team.
