The Class of 2021 is slowly taking shape for the Stanford Cardinal, and top target Shield Taylor has made it official. Committing to Stanford over the weekend, Taylor is the state of Louisiana’s top tight end prospect but will reportedly play fullback in David Shaw’s offense.
After announcing his decision on Twitter, fellow Stanford commit Ari Patu, his future quarterback teammate, welcomed him officially to the Cardinal.
Taylor plays a variety of positions for Alexandria Senior High School in Alexandria, Louisiana, and is his state’s 15th-best player overall, while ranking as the top tight end.
