Stanford coach David Shaw announced Tuesday that quarterback K.J. Costello will return this weekend against No. 17 UCF, but said the team will be without star offensive tackle Walker Little, who will have season-ending knee surgery.
Costello missed Saturday's loss to USC Trojans with a head injury suffered the week before against Northwestern Wildcats. Davis Mills replaced him, going 22 of 36 for 237 yards, with a TD and a pick.
Little was hurt in the season opener against the Wildcats and also missed Saturday's game against the Trojans.
