Kevin Hogan is one of 27 players to make the watchlist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. The award goes to the top college quarterback. Among on field performance and statistics other criteria are considered such as: "character, citizenship, integrity, leadership, and honor".
Andrew Luck (in 2011) is the only Stanford quarterback to bring home the Award since the Award's inception in 1987. Last year's winner was, unsurprisingly Marcus Mariota the Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon, and Alabama's AJ McCarron won in 2013.
Including Hogan, five quarterbacks from the Pac-12 made the watchlist; Cody Kessler from USC, Vernon Adams from Oregon, Mike Bercovici from Arizona State, and Travis Wilson from Utah.
