Jonathan McGill, Michael Wilson Prove Pivotal

As only a true freshman, Jonathan McGill has already been responsible for some of Stanford’s bigger defensive plays. McGill previously made a fumble recovery for a touchdown against UCF, but against WSU he may have come up even bigger.

The first three WSU drives all resulted in touchdowns. WSU went a perfect 7-for-7 on 3rd down conversions. Stanford seemed completely unable to stop WSU...

The McGill interception brought a spark to the Stanford offense, too. Although the Stanford offense looked anemic through it first two drives—trailing WSU 19-0—the Fehoko touchdown on the previous drive, followed shortly by the McGill interception quickly shifted the momentum.
