The Stanford Cardinal will embark on what they hope is a deep run in the 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, when they take on Utah Valley University Sunday night in a No. 1 vs. No. 16 matchup in the Round of 64.
The Cardinal, of course, are the No. 1 seed, having swept the regular season Pac-12 title and Pac-12 Tournament championship as well. Now, they’re hoping their road warrior journey this season will give them the edge as they take on tournament debutant Utah Valley.
The Wolverines are in the NCAA tournament for the first time, benefitting from conference-mate California Baptist University being ineligible for postseason play this year.
