Defensive end Stephen Herron, Jr flipped from Michigan to Stanford on Monday.
247 Sports’ composite has Herron ranked as the number five defensive end in the nation and the 86th-best player in America. Herron is the second-highest rated player in the Stanford class currently, behind only running back Austin Jones, who is ranked #81. Herron is ranked as the number one player in the state of Kentucky.
Herron committed last July to Michigan, but explained on his commitment tweet that he recently gained acceptance to Stanford and changed his mind to pick the Cardinal.
