Except for Marx, Stanford should be a full strength for Rose Bowl

Although Stanford has given linebacker Blake Martinez and cornerback Ronnie Harris time off from practice lately to rest their injured ankles, head coach David Shaw expects his team to be near full health for the Rose Bowl against Iowa.

Martinez played all the way against USC in the Pac-12 title game, but Harris could only go the first half.

The one normal starter who won’t play in the Rose Bowl, of course, is fullback Daniel Marx, who has a severe lower leg injury. He might be ready for the second half of spring drills, Shaw said.

Stanford sold out its ticket allotment for the game in the three days after the matchup was announced, the school said.
