SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Stanford football coach David Shaw played wide receiver for the Cardinal in the early '90s, making him a teammate of new San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch.
While Shaw spent most of Wednesday discussing his latest recruiting class, he also took time to answer some questions about how he thinks Lynch will fare in his new job.
After acknowledging that hiring Lynch without any personnel experience is a bit unconventional, Shaw told the San Francisco Chronicle that he believes in his former teammate.
