Current Stanford Cardinal women’s golfer Aline Krauter won the Women’s Amateur Championship this weekend, knocking off Annabell Fuller at West Lancashire in Liverpool, England.
Krauter found herself down three strokes through just four holes in the 18-hole championship match against Fuller.
However, she won six of the next eight holes and had built a three-shot lead with six holes to play. The German golfer pressed forward despite Fuller closing the gap to just one as they took to the 18th hole.
Krauter and Fuller matched pars, and her par putt became the top putt of her career, by far, as it won her the championship in dramatic fashion.
