The first glimpse of the 2019 recreated season for the Stanford Cardinal was an impressive display of offensive and defensive prowess as the Cardinal defeated the San Jose State Spartans, 52-24. Stanford utilized a strong game plan and great effort on each side of the ball in their victory, improving to 1-0 on the year.
The Cardinal had to wait an extra week with the opening weekend bye on their schedule but the taste they gave to Stanford fans surely breathes life into even higher expectations for the recreated 2019 season.
