MONTERREY, MEXICO • Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright, who will start Saturday's game in the Cardinals' first ever Mexico Series, held a baseball up high -- as high as his right arm would allow -- and called on anyone nearby.
A handful of Cardinals participated Friday afternoon in an informal workout at Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey, home of the local Sultanes. The Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds will play a two-game series at the ballpark this weekend, and the Cardinals players, like Wainwright, and most of the coaching staff used Friday's off day as an opportunity to get to know the ballpark.
