Wainwright beats the heat and catches up to 'ultimate competitor' Bob Forsch

Bob Forsch threw his last pitch in Busch Stadium in 2011 in a season Adam Wainwright didn’t throw any.

Forsch, a 15-season Cardinal like Wainwright, was a late replacement for Hall of Fame manager Whitey Herzog, who had suffered a concussion in a fall at his home, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Game 7 of the 2011 World Series.
