Two homers in sixth put Brewers ahead

MILWAUKEE • The Cardinals missed a large chance in the sixth Friday night and soon paid for it.

With one out and the Cardinals ahead 2-1, Yadier Molina walked and Randal Grichuk, hitting safely in his fourth straight game since being recalled from the minors, dropped a double just inside the left-field line.

Kolten Wong was walked intentionally and pitcher Michael Wacha, with the count 1-1, bunted on a safety squeeze with the slow-running Molina coming home from third. Wacha got the ball down safely but not far enough from Milwaukee's Jimmy Nelson that the pitcher couldn’t make the out at the plate.
