The World Series is still in full swing, but that does not mean it is too early to start looking towards award season. On Thursday Rawlings revealed the 2020 finalist for their famous Gold Glove Awards. Three Cardinals made the list — first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, second baseman Kolten Wong, and left fielder Tyler O’Neill.
Goldschmidt has been trading this award back and forth with Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo. Rizzo seems to have the edge in most defensive categories like Defensive Runs Saved and Ultimate Zone Rating as well as Out of Zone plays. Goldschmidt is at a bit of disadvantage having not played as many innings due to the Cardinals coronavirus outbreak.
