The telecast of Saturday’s Cardinals-Phillies game will begin on ESPNU if the long-running Seattle-Toronto game still is in progress.
The contest at Busch Stadium is scheduled to be shown on ESPN2 (game time of 7:37 p.m.), but as of 7:10 p.m. that channel was carrying the early stages of the Padres-Mets game that was supposed to be on ESPN. ESPN still had on the Seattle-Toronto contest, which began four hours earlier, so the New York game was moved to ESPN2.
Therefore, Cards-Phillies would begin on ESPNews and the ESPN app. It would move from ESPNews to ESPN2 once the game in Toronto concludes, with Padres-Mets going to ESPN.
