It's been, hard to believe, more than five years already since we lost Steve Palermo after a long battle with cancer.
He never gave up, even at the end. I spoke with him one last time from his seat located inside the press box at Kauffman Stadium before he got sick. Before he had to fight for his life again. Palermo, in short, was a true hero. I had the privilege of interviewing him several times, and his legacy will live on.
