St. Louis Maroons erased from record books

After the NBA's Golden State Warriors on Saturday won their 21st straight game to start the season, sports enthusiasts noted their feat erased the St. Louis Maroons from the record books.

Before the Warriors' win No. 21, they were tied with the Maroons, who began the 1884 baseball season in the old Union Association by winning 20 straight games.

The Maroons didn't make much of any other ripple in history's timeline, but it did have a roster with some all-star names, like Buttercup Dickerson, Sleeper Sullivan and Orator Shafer.
