On July 31st, St. Louis Cardinals fans woke up to the news that center fielder Tommy Pham was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for a prospect package containing Justin Williams, Genesis Cabrera, and Roel Ramirez.
The Pham trade was a shocker for fans and even Tommy Pham himself. The team that he has been with since he was drafted in 2006 traded him out of the blue.
During his second game with his new team, Pham was hit in the foot with a fastball and was taken out of the game.
