Simmons ready for long-awaited induction into National Baseball Hall of Fame

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Finally, Ted Simmons will get to say what’s on his mind when he is inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame Wednesday afternoon here at the Clark Sports Center.

Simmons was elected by a veterans’ committee in December 2019, along with players’ labor union chief Marvin Miller and they will join 2020 electees Derek Jeter and Larry Walker, who were chosen by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
