This week the Hall of Fame debate broke out in a big way on the airwaves and internets when Mark Saxon, former Cardinals reporter for The Athletic, released his ballot. This was particularly controversial because Saxon had voted for Rolen in previous ballots. This year he changed his mind, pulling his Rolen vote. This despite voting for Omar Vizquel and Jeff Kent.
Cardinals fans – and really, the entire baseball community – collectively lost their minds.
