Piscotty hit in left elbow, doesn't think it's serious

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. • Carson Kelly, the catcher of the future for the Cardinals _ whenever Yadier Molina steps down _ snacked a home run and Randal Grichuk added a three-run shot in a four-run sixth inning off New York Mets reliever Stolmy Pimentel, shooting the Cardinals past the New York Mets.

But there was other more significant action in the inning. Before Grichuk’s homer, Stephen Piscotty was hit in the left elbow by a pitch and went to the ground. He left the game. Soon, so did Pimentel, ejected by home-plate umpire Angel Hernandez, after Jonathan Rodriguez also was hit by a pitch.
