Pham rips umpire's strike zone after Cards fan 15 times

While holding himself accountable for some fielding plays that were not made Sunday, Cardinals leadoff hitter Tommy Pham, when asked about the strike zone, said he held somebody else accountable: plate umpire Marvin Hudson.

Pham said Miami’s Adam Conley, who struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings of a 6-3 win over the Cardinals, “threw a lot of heaters in. He had a good slider, a good changeup. He had a generous strike zone.”

But later, Pham unfortunately said, “The strike zone was horrible. (Hudson) had no sense of the inside part of the plate or the outside part of the plate.
