Thomas Pham's shoulder soreness abated, so he is back in the starting lineup in center field for the Cardinals Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Also, Brayan Pena is once again catching his old Cincinnati Reds colleague Mike Leake, giving Yadier Molina a much needed day off. Also, handyman Jedd Gyorko gets another start at first base with the Pirates starting left-hander Steven Brault.
Earlier Tuesday, Pena took to Twitter to announce that he will be joining the Army Reserve. He wrote: "Im very proud to announce with the support of my wife & family that i will be joining the ARMY RESERVE this off season " God Bless America "
