MILWAUKEE • Veteran Cardinals third baseman Jhonny Peralta, off to a .120 start with no runs batted in, has been placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to April 16 because of an upper respiratory problem, the club announced Thursday afternoon before their game here with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Lefthander Tyler Lyons, who had been on the disabled list and had made three minor league rehab starts at Class AAA Memphis as he continued his recovery from off-season knee surgery, was activated, giving the Cardinals 13 pitchers, at least for the moment. Lyons, who last pitched on Monday, day, had given up only two runs in 14 innings over his minor league starts.
