JEFFERSON CITY • It may not happen this season, but thirsty Cardinals fans eventually could see some relief from missing home runs while waiting in line for a beer.
Legislation awaiting Gov. Jay Nixon’s pen would allow venues such as Busch Stadium or the Scottrade Center to sell and deliver alcoholic beverages at events through a smart phone app.
Gone would be the hassle of wading through a sea of fans to get to a concession stand.
If approved, the measure would bring Missouri in line with other states that are already allowing fans to stay in their seats while they wait for a cold brew.
