Molina keeps gaining ground on Cardinals' Hall of Famers

While Yadier Molina continued to scale the Cardinals’ Mount Olympus of personal achievements, rookie Dylan Carlson put himself only 474 homers behind Stan Musial with the first of his career. And the Cardinals’ bullpen, which may be the key to their playing in October, was absolutely heartless for 4 1/3 innings Sunday in a series-clinching 6-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium.

Molina, who earlier in the series passed Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith for third place in Cardinals games played — he is at 1,992 now — had the 19th four-hit game of his career on Sunday.
