Minor league roundup: Harris fans two in rehab assignment

While pitching one inning for Class AAA Memphis for his rehab assignment, Cardinals reliever Mitch Harris struck out two batters and allowed zero hits during Tuesday's 9-0 victory over New Orleans.

Harris, a United States Naval Academy graduate, was 1-1 with a 3.10 earned run average in 19 games with St. Louis before straining his groin earlier in July. He was placed on the disabled list and was assigned to Memphis for his rehab appearance.

Depending on need, Harris could remain with Memphis when he's cleared from the disabled list.

Here's how the Cardinals' minor league affiliates performed in last night's slate of games:

Class AAA Memphis 9, New Orleans 0

Third baseman Jacob Wilson's only hit of the game was a grand slam, his ninth home run with Memphis.
