WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. • Miles Mikolas had a very strong outing Friday at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
He also owes a tip of the cap to center fielder Harrison Bader.
Thanks to some truly splendid defense from Bader -- who made two diving catches, one of which certainly saved a run and another that might have, and also fired a bullet from short center to home plate that drew a gasp from the crowd and convinced the baserunner to stick to third -- Mikolas seemed to take another step forward from his rough start this spring.
